Family History Research
I offer family history research to suit a range of interests and budgets, from tracing a single ancestral line to exploring an entire branch of your family. A family history project also makes a unique and meaningful gift for a special occasion.
Typical projects include:
Building a family tree from the beginning
Researching one or more surname lines
Exploring the paternal or maternal side of your family
Investigating a particular ancestor
Family history projects are individually quoted according to your objectives and the amount of research required.

Explanations of historical records and terminology encountered.
Extracts and transcriptions of key documents within the report.
A separate digital file containing copies of source records (where copyright permits).
An A4 pedigree chart.
Suggestions for further research.
All packages are supplied digitally as standard.
Before you book:
Research is not undertaken into living individuals.
Essential certificates required for the agreed research are included within the final quotation.
Additional costs, such as wills or specialist archive access, will always be discussed and agreed before any expense is incurred.
Most projects are completed within approximately eight weeks, allowing time for certificates to be obtained where necessary.
If a particular line cannot be traced further, the remaining research time will be redirected in consultation with you.
A 50% deposit secures your booking, with the balance payable before the final report is delivered.
